A lady in her late 20s, identified as Ugochi Nworie, has allegedly been gang-raped to death in a hotel in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital.
It was learnt that the victim arrived at the hotel in the company of a group of young men late in the night.
The lady was found dead in the room after the door was forced open in the day.
Her legs, hands and mouth were tied.
Police spokesperson, Loveth Odah, confirmed the murder.
She said efforts were on to track the perpetrators, who left the hotel room unnoticed after committing the crime.
Used contraceptives were found in the room.
