A support group for the presidential bid of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Tinubu Hope for Nigera Vanguard, has said his adversaries are chasing shadows.
The group, made up of former heads of Nigerian banks, lawyers, doctors and youths, said it would ensure the emergence of Tinubu as President.
Speaking at the formal launch of the group in Akure, it’s coordinator, Bode Famose, said critics of Tinubu were not discussing competence but alleged ill-health without proof of medical record.
Famose said the only person that could stop Tinubu from winning the party primary and the general elections was Tinubu himself.
He said many PDP supporters have indicated interest to vote in Tinubu as President.
According to him: “There is no way he will lose the primary. He started working for this a long time ago. We can see all the pointers across the country. He will win the primary convincingly
“This is a platform to sensitise the delegates. This is our time to change the narrative. We trust Tinubu because he has done it in the past. We want to join other support groups to ensure Tinubu is elected as the President of Nigeria.
